Change of opacity of a layer

On palette Layers (Layers) it is possible to set level of opacity of a layer. In Photoshop 7 in comparison with prior versions there is a possibility to set as the main level of opacity (field Opacity), and internal (field Fill) (fig. 14.1). The more low these values, the it is more пикселов lying below a layer it will be visible through the active layer (fig. 14.2, 14.3). Opacity of a background cannot be changed.

Activate any tool which is distinct from the paint tool, then push a key 1 to make opacity of the active layer of equal 10 %, a key 2 - 20 % etc. Or quickly key two digits (for example, 15 for 15 %).

The remark

Also opacity of a layer can be changed, using parameters of section Blending Options (a mixing Option) dialog box Layer Style (Style of a layer) about what it is more in detail written in chapter 14, section «Adjustment of parameters of mixing of two layers»).
