Conversion of a circuit to selection boundary

  1. At will. Select some area that further over it and again created area of selection it was possible to produce such operations, as addition, subtraction and intersection.

Canceling of selection of a circuit

1. Select tool Direct Selection Tool or Path Selection Tool (a key And or keyboard shortcut Shift+A).

2. Click the mouse out of a circuit in an image window. The circuit remains visible, but its nodal points and guide lines will be hidden.

Fig. 16.37. A window of parameters of operation Make Selection

  1. Pushing CTRL key, that circuit which you want to transform to the selected area click the mouse by name, or select a circuit name from palette Paths and click by button Load path as selection (to Load a circuit in the form of the selected area) in the lower part of palette Paths (fig. 16.36). At performance of the given command current parameters of operation Make Selection (to Create selection) will be applied.

For setting of other parameters the circuit clicks the right mouse button by name and execute command Make Selection from the shortcut menu. For the selected area it is possible to set value of parameter Feather Radius (shading Radius). Enter small value of this radius (fig. 16.37) a little to soften boundaries. Over a considered circuit and the area of the image selected earlier also it is possible to fulfill operations of addition, subtraction or intersection (select the necessary element from group Operation (Operation). Keyboard equivalents for each of these operations are resulted more low. Click by the button APPRX.

The remark

If flag Anti-aliased (Smoothing) value of parameter Feather Radius set equal 0 is installed.

  1. From palette Layers (Layers) select that layer for which the selected area has been created.
