Conversion of the selected area to a circuit

Before explicitly to consider tools of group of Turnips, we show how to create a circuit by means of operation of selection of area. Transforming area boundaries into a circuit, it is possible to change its form with the big accuracy, and then to use the received closed line as a circuit of cutting off of a layer. If needed the circuit can be transformed to the selected area reversely.

Conversion of area to a circuit can be fulfilled two methods.

The first method:

  1. Select an image part (fig. 16.5).

The remark

As only-you transform the selected area to a circuit, the program will fulfill actions only with a circuit.

  1. Push ALT key and, without releasing it, click by button Make work path from selection (to Create a working circuit from the selected area) in the lower part of palette Paths (fig. 16.6) or select command Make work path from the menu of palette Paths.
  2. Enter value of parameter Tolerance (Tolerance) from 0,5 to 10 (fig. 16.7).

At low value of parameter Tolerance the program creates many nodal points, and the circuit will precisely correspond to the selected area (fig. 16.8). At the big value of the given parameter it turns out less than nodal points, and the circuit appears more rounded, but will correspond less precisely to the initial selected area (fig. 16.9). Try to enter value of the specified parameter equal 4 or 5.

  1. Click by the button APPRX.

The name of a new working circuit appears on palette Paths. This name offered by the program, it is necessary to change! Click on it twice, and then in appeared window Save Path (to Save a circuit) enter a new name of a circuit and click by the button APPRX.

The remark

For the name of circuits it is impossible to use cyrillic.

In the second method of conversion of boundary of the selected area in a circuit current value of parameter Tolerance is used. Click by button Make work path from selection in the lower part of palette Paths. Save a circuit: click on his name twice, enter a new name, then push the button APPRX.
