Color testing

Determination of a management system by color - it, of course, important and good process, but occasionally is enough you the nobility as the document will look at the press or on monitors Windows or Macintosh as a Web-page part. To check up it it is possible in the program image. Though the offered method is less exact, than immediate printout of the image or its review on various monitors, it gives the main representation how your creation will look at various values of parameters.

1. From submenu View> Proof Setup (the Type> Setting of a trial print) select type of representation of the image which you want to imitate:
   
   • Custom (For choice the user) allows to create by means of dialog box Proof Setup a color model for the certain output device (fig. 2.45). For this purpose from pop up menu Profile (Profile) select a color profile for the given output device, then install or remove flag Preserve Color Numbers (to Save numbers of colors) if this option is accessible. At the installed flag the image will look as if it without conversion is deduced in color space of a trial print. If to remove a flag the program will imitate conversion of spaces, and it is necessary to set desirable parameters of conversion in the field Intent, see above section «Adjustment of parameters of operation of conversion»;

The remark

Option Preserve Color Numbers (to Save numbers of colors) is accessible only when the color mode of a current file coincides with the profile of the output device selected from dialog box Proof Setup (Setting of a trial print). For example, if a document color mode - RGB and the selected profile of a print also RGB option Preserve Color Numbers will be accessible.

• Install in group Simulate to (Imitate) flag Paper White (the White paper), to see a shade appearing at the press as it is defined in a document profile;
  
• Install in group Simulate to (Imitate) flag Ink Black (Black color), to see all range of the gray shades defined in a document profile;
  
• In case of a choice of option Working CMYK (Worker CMYK), the trial print will be created on the basis of work space CMYK as it is defined in dialog box Color Settings;
  
• If you select variants Working Cyan Plate (the Working blue photo mask), Working Magenta Plate (Working фуксиновый a photo mask), Working Yellow Plate (the Working yellow photo mask), Working Black Plate (the Working black photo mask) or Working CMY (Worker CMY) the trial print will be made with usage of the specified color as it is defined in current work space CMYK;
  
• Variants Macintosh RGB or Windows RGB predetermine that the trial print will be made with usage of a profile of monitor Macintosh or Windows;
  
• If to select variant Monitor RGB (Monitor RGB), at an output of a trial print the profile of your monitor will be used.
  

2. Mode View> Proof Colors (the Type> Colours of a trial print) so that colors could be viewed beforehand will be automatically installed. Remove this flag if do not want to do a preliminary print.
   

Council

Click by button Save to (Save), to save the selected parameters of a trial print. The saved setting are in submenu Proof Setup.
