Saving of the new sample in new library

If you created a new paintbrush, a pattern or a figure by means of menu Edit (Editing), added a new sample of color in palette Swatches (Samples), new style in palette Styles (Styles), created a new gradient in dialog box Gradient Editor (the Editor of a gradient) or a new circuit in a window of a choice of circuits the new element appears on the panel of a choice of the appropriate tool which button of a call is allocated on the panel of options of the tool. Also the new element will be included in menu Preset Type (Type of the sample) dialog box Preset Manager.

The new sample will be temporarily saved in a file of setting of the program of adobe Photoshop and appears on the choice panel even if you reboot the program. It will be there until you do not open other library of the same category (for example, other library of paintbrushes) or do not recover an initial state of the panel of a choice or a category where this panel, by means of dialog box Preset Manager enters. If you fulfill any of the actions set forth above the new sample will be remote. How to save it, it is written more low.

  1. Create a new sample for the choice panel.
  2. In the panel menu execute command Save to (Save) [type of the sample] (fig. 21.20) or by means of menu Edit (Editing) open window Preset Manager, select an appropriate variant from menu Preset Type (Type of the sample), select an element which is necessary for saving (pushing SHIFT key, it is possible to select some elements), and then click by button Save Set (to Save a dial-up).

The remark

We recommend to use dialog box Preset Manager that it was possible to restrict an amount of elements which will be saved in new library. Also, in our opinion, to add some elements in library easier and more visually, than to connect with it other big library.

  1. Enter a name, leave without change the extension of a file and its site, then click by button Save to (Save).

The remark

That just created library appeared in the menu of the panel of a choice, and also in menu Preset Type in dialog box Preset Manager, it is necessary to quit program Photoshop and to reboot it (fig. 21.21).
