The press

The image in program Photoshop can be unpacked on the laser or color printer (for example, jet or the device with thermal sublimation of dye) or the phototypesetting automatic machine. The image can be imported from program Photoshop and is unpacked by means of the graphics editor, such as FreeHand or Illustrator; imposition programs, for example QuarkXPress or InDesign; a multimedia application, such as Director or After Effects; or it is prepared for review in a real time mode (more in detail about it see chapter 23).

In this chapter instructions on an output of the image on the press with usage of different printing devices, to application треппинга, preparation of the image for other application, to file saving in formats EPS, DCS, TIFF, BMP or PICT, to creation of bitonal images, and also usage of colors from directory PANTONE contain. Push and retain the mouse button, specifying in the left lower corner of an application window to display the miniature of current page showing layout of a picture on a sheet of paper. To receive the information on a file, push ALT key and retain pushed the mouse button, specifying in the same field (fig. 22.1).
