The file containing layers, can be imported from program Photoshop in After Effects in the form of the concatenated file. Separate layers and groups of layers are thus saved.

To save all layers including adjusting, effects of a layer, modes of mixing and alpha channels without changes, for image import use commands File> Import> Photoshop as Comp (the File> Import> a Photoshop-file as Comp) in program After Effects. Edited text layers are correctly interpreted by program After Effects, therefore there is necessity no them beforehand to transform. Layer masks also will be imported and correctly visualized by program After Effects.

The group of cutting off of program Photoshop will be imported in After Effects as beforehand the grouped. Thanks to it it can be allocated and edited, as a unit. If twice to click on such object in window After Effects Project (Project After Effects) in window Time Layout (Schedule) separate layers of group of cutting off will be displayed.

To the alpha channels containing in file Photoshop, it is possible to apply command Set Matte Effect (Effect of a covering). Any other channels will be ignored.

Sometimes the same image is used as for the press (normal resolution of such images makes 250 dpi and above), and in the project of program After Effects. He it is necessary to use in program After Effects files with high resolution, instead create a copy of a file with appropriate resolution and the sizes by means of commands Image Size (Image size) from menu File (File) in program Photoshop.
