Editing of the color lookup table of the image in mode Indexed Color

  1. Execute commands Image> Mode> Color Table (the Image> the Mode> the Color lookup table). Dialog box Color Table (Color lookup table) in which all colors of the image (fig. 23.4 will be shown), including the sample corresponding transparent пикселам (in a picture - in lower the right to a corner) if in dialog box Indexed Color (Indexed color) flag Transparency (Transparency) is installed As a result opens.
  2. Click on any color to change it, or, dragging the pointer through some colors, select them.
  3. Move a slider upwards or downwards on a vertical scale to select appropriate tone (fig. 23.5в). Then click on a shade of this tone in the big color square (fig. 23.56).
  4. The recommendation. To select only the colors approaching for a network, install flag Only Web Colors (Only Web-colors) - fig. 23.5а see. If this flag is not installed, at the color choice which show in a network is not guaranteed, near to it there will be a notifying tag (fig. 23.5г). If to click on it program Photoshop finds the nearest substitute of the given color which for certain approaches for Web-images.

Reduce!

To reduce an amount of colors in the image table in mode Indexed Color to two colors and the intermediate shades, at first execute commands Image> Mode> Color Table (the Image> the Mode> the Color lookup table). Drag the cursor from the first color in left upper to a corner to last in lower the right. From window Color Picker (a color Choice) select the first color:

  • Move a slider on a vertical scale to select appropriate tone (fig. 23.5а);
  • Click on a tone shade in the big color square (fig. 23.56);
  • Click by the button APPRX.

Then select the second color. To receive the best results, at first select warm color, and then cold or on the contrary. Click by button OK to close the panel of a choice of colors and then again click on APPRX.

  1. Click by the button APPRX. If at performance of a step 2 it has been selected more than one color change the second color and click on APPRX.
  2. Click by the button APPRX.

Council

To add the arbitrary color in the halftone image, transform it to mode Indexed Color, and then edit the color lookup table. Use table Black Body (Black color) or Spectrum (Spectrum).
