Creation of a special palette in program ImageReady for images in mode Indexed Color

Special palettes of program ImageReady guarantee that each image entering into some group, uses the same color palette. They help to save space on a compact disk and with their help, for example, it is possible to achieve that GIF-files on your site used the same colors that contain in a logo of your company.

At creation of a special palette it is necessary to add in it colors from one or several images, then to save a palette and to appropriate to it a name. Then given palette can be applied to other images which colors should correspond to colors of the given group of images.

  1. If the special palette clear it earlier has been created, fulfilling menu commands Image> Master Palette> Clear Master Palette (the Image> the Special palette> to Clear a special palette).
  2. Open the image which colors will be used at creation of a special palette.
  3. Execute commands Image> Master Palette> Add to Master Palette (the Image> the Special palette> to Add in a special palette) - fig. 23.6 see.
  4. Repeat steps 2-3 to add in a special palette of color from other images.

  1. As soon as you added all necessary colors, use commands Image> Master Palette> Build Master Palette (the Image> the Special palette> to Construct a special palette).
  2. And at last, execute commands Image> Master Palette> Save Master Palette (the Image> the Special palette> to Save a special palette).
  3. By default, the new palette will be saved with.act extension in folder Presets/Optimized Colors (fig. 23.7). Set a name of a palette and click by button Save to (Save). Now it is possible to apply this palette to other images.
