Halation origin at copying of rounded objects in other programs
To create smooth passages between figures, program Photoshop adds points along the edges of object (this process is called as smoothing). Points gradually change from completely opaque to the transparent. Therefore at object selection some points of a background also get to the selected area as the object edge is translucent.
Fig. 23.14. Removal of effect of smoothing
Fig. 23.15. The images interposed into other program: without reduction of the selected area at the left); with reduction of the selected area to delete a halation (on the right)
If to interpose the selected area from program Photoshop into the difficult image with other background color in other program round this area appears small, but noticeable (and undesirable) a halation. Also the effect of a halation will be visible at object usage in animation where it moves against which color is inhomogeneous or gradually changes.
To prevent halation origin, at first select object in program Photoshop, without selecting its rounded boundaries. Pushing CTRL key, the layer clicks by name to select object, and then increase scale, at least, to 200 % so that it was possible to see object boundaries accurately. Execute commands Select> Modify> Contract (to Select> to Change> to Reduce) to press the selected area on one or two пиксела. The effect of smoothing will be thus remote. And at last, copy object and interpose it into other program. Fig. 23.14-23.15 illustrate this process. To receive the image resulted on fig. 23.14, by means of tool Magic Wand (Magic wand) the white background has been selected, then the selected area inverted, thus some part of rounded boundary entered into selection. Command Select> Modify> Contract (to Select> to Change> to Reduce) has been applied to reduce selection by one пиксел.
