Lock of the transparent points

If on palette Layers (Layers) flag Lock transparent pixels (to Lock the transparent points) is installed, it is possible to edit or recolour only opaque points of a layer (fig. 7.43 and 7.44); empty areas remain invariable (this option substitutes option Preserve Transparency (to Save a transparency) programs Photoshop 5). If you want to create visible points, option Lock transparent pixels it is necessary to ungear. Remember that she can be switched on and off for any separate layers.

The remark

Option Lock transparent pixels (to Lock the transparent points) will be always switched on for a text layer which was not exposed to rendering. Otherwise (for a text layer after rendering) the given mode can be switched on and off.

If to use tool Eraser (Ластик), installing on its panel of options flag Lock transparent pixels (to Lock the transparent points) visible points will not be remote, and acquire current background color.

The remark

Push a key / (slash) to include/ungear option Lock transparent pixels (to Lock illusive points).

It is possible to change the size and color of a chess picture which is used for a designation of the transparent areas of a layer, or generally to disconnect its application. For this purpose cause dialog box Edit> Preferences> Transparency and Gamut (Editing> Setting> the Transparency and gamma) or push key pattern Ctrl+K, and then Ctrl+4.
