If the task offered by us is fulfilled often for different folders or it is necessary to process images from several folders the regular reinstallations in dialog box Batch (Continuous handling) seem burdensome enough. The output consists in usage of nested operations when one operations are caused from others. Something turns out like subroutines in programming languages.

1. Create new operation in dial-up My Actions and name it, for example, "Lazy". Include operation record.

2. Open dialog box Batch (Continuous handling), selecting the command with the same name from list Automate (Automation) of menu File (File).

3. Enter the same setting, as in exercise from section "Batch operation".

4. Close a dialog box the button APPRX.

5. Select command Contact Sheet (Survey sheet), from this the menu. Play back in the appeared dialog box already used before setting.

6. Launch a command on performance, pushing the button APPRX.

7. Stop operation record (fig. 12.17).

At last operation Lazy completely automating all operation on guiding of the directory of images and the publication on pages WWW is created. As you can see, except a call of commands, in it contains also a nested call of operation Gallery. Thus you still have possibility to use operation Gallery irrespective of operation Lazy.

In new version Photoshop there was an alternative method of storage and performance of operations by means of applets. The applet represents executed (*.ехе) a file containing adjustments of continuous handling — the same, as in dialog box Batch (Continuous handling). To process group of image files, it is necessary to drag the mouse their tags in window WindowsExplorer to an applet tag.

Applets are fulfilled only in the environment of Photoshop. If at the moment of the beginning of handling Photoshop it is not loaded, the applet makes it automatically.

Adjustments of continuous handling are concentrated in a dialog box of creation of applet Create Droplet (to Create an applet), opening by the command of list Automate with the same name (Automation) of menu File (File). It is almost identical to dialog box Batch familiar to you (Continuous handling), only instead of a folder-source choice in it it is necessary to set a name of a file of a created applet. It is obvious that for an applet the folder-source is not necessary, since, dragging the mouse on a tag of an applet tags of files, you thereby give it the exact list of images for handling.

In ImageReady, new component Photoshop, too there is palette Actions (Operations). She also allows to write down in the form of operation any sequence of actions in the program, including palettes Rollover (Ролловер), Slice (Fragment) and Animation (Animation). Writing down, for example, operation of creation of the button-rollovera once, you can As well as in Photoshop, in ImageReady creation of applets too is provided. They form on the basis of operations or optimization setting.

1. Launch ImageReady.

2. From palette Optimize (Optimization) select any concrete dial-up of parameters of optimization.

3. Push the button of creation of an applet, nearby with list Settings (Setting), or execute command Create Droplet (to Create ap-plet) from the palette menu. In both cases the standard dialog box of saving of a file from which it is necessary to select a folder opens and to name an applet.

4. Push button Save to (Save). The applet with optimization setting is created.

5. In palette Actions (Operation) select operation Constrain 200х200 pixelsи select command Create Droplet (to Create an applet) from the palette menu. The standard dialog box of saving of a file from which it is necessary to select a folder opens and to name a command file.

6. Push button Save to (Save). The command file with handling commands is created.

7. Open folder WindowsExplorer with the saved applets.

8. Open folder WindowsExplorer with any images.

9. Drag to an applet tag one or several tags of image files. ImageReady processes these images and saves them in the same folder.

Parameters of continuous image processing by means of applets too can be adjusted. It becomes in dialog box Batch Options (fig. 12.18), similar to window Batch in Photoshop. It opens the command with the same name from the menu of palette Actions (Operation).

ImageReady allows to edit applets directly. Launch such file double click in window WindowsExplorer. You see the simplified variant of palette Actions (Operation) (fig. 12.19) which, nevertheless, allows to add and delete commands in an applet. Double click at line Batch Options (Parameters of continuous handling), available in each applet, opens dialog box Batch Options (Parameters of continuous handling). The adjustments made in this window, are valid only for one selected applet.

To an output of commercial version Photoshop 4.0 firm of adobe predicted origin of an exchange by operations between users, as operation is a normal file with atn extension, which can be copied on a diskette (or other carrier) command Save Actions (to Save operations) to transfer on other computer, and there to load command Load Actions (to Load operations).
